What's included in your Rolling 40 Bronco chassis.

Every Bronco chassis ships with the following eight systems as standard equipment, each sized and tuned to the Bronco platform.

01

FRT.SUS / 01

Front Suspension

OEM Ford Raptor lower arms, knuckles, CV shafts, and hubs with RPG billet upper control arm. 7075 billet tie rods and sway bar links, geometry-matched to the Bronco’s 92-inch wheelbase.

02

RR.SUS / 02

Rear Suspension

Triangulated 4-link trophy truck style rear trailing arm suspension with 11.5 inches of wheel travel. 7075 billet upper links and sway bar links, calibrated to the Bronco’s cargo and passenger loading profile.

03

FRT.SHK / 03

Fox Front Shocks

3-inch Fox Racing Series internal bypass front coilovers, valved and spring-rated for the Bronco’s front weight distribution with modern V8 power.

04

RR.SHK / 04

Fox Rear Shocks

2.5-inch Fox coilover rear shocks with DSC adjusters, tuned to the Bronco platform for composed ride quality under both daily and expedition loading.

05

BRK.SYS / 05

Wilwood Brake System

6-piston front calipers and Dynalite rear calipers with integrated parking brake, sized for the Bronco’s typical completed curb weight and recovery-gear loading.

06

AXL.HSG / 06

Moser 9" Axle Housing

3-inch diameter axle tubes with Bronco-specific track width, fully welded housing designed to accept the Currie third member and Wilwood rotor package.

07

3RD.MBR / 07

Currie Third Member

4.11 gear ratio Truetrack limited slip unit with 1350 Chromoly yoke, geared for the Bronco’s typical 35 to 37-inch tire fitment with modern overdrive transmissions.

08

FRM / 08

Chassis Frame

6″ x 3″ x 3/16″ laser cut main rails in 1020 high-tensile steel, held to ± 0.005 inches, dimensionally validated against original Bronco body blueprints for a direct bolt-on fit.

TECHNICAL FAQ

Deep Technical Insights for Builders

01 Which Ford Bronco years fit the Rolling 40 chassis?

The Rolling 40 Bronco chassis is engineered as a direct bolt-on replacement for all 1966 to 1977 Early Ford Bronco models, sharing the platform’s 92-inch factory wheelbase. Body mount locations are validated against original Ford blueprints, so any correct first-generation Bronco body, steel or fiberglass, drops on without modification.

02 Will my original Bronco body bolt on without modification?

Yes. Every Rolling 40 Bronco chassis is dimensionally validated against a 50 million point laser scan of an original Ford Bronco body shell. Radiator support mounts, body bushings, fuel line paths, steering column pass-through, and firewall hardware all land at factory locations. You can pull your existing body off the old frame and set it down on a Rolling 40 chassis without re-drilling, cutting, or shimming.

03 Which engines and transmissions is the chassis compatible with?

The chassis accepts modern V8 platforms including the Ford 5.0L Coyote, GM LT Series, Small Block Ford, and Ford 7.3L Godzilla. This is a meaningful departure from the factory Bronco’s drivetrain options. Our Universal Motor Mount Kit covers over twenty configurations, and tunnel geometry accepts modern automatics along with manual swap conversions.

04 What tire sizes can I run with each fender option?

Standard fender flares are optimized for 33-inch to 35-inch tires on factory-width or mildly offset wheels. The Exclusive 5-inch Wide Stance flares are engineered for 37-inch-plus tires with aggressive offset, with the widened track geometry already built into the chassis. Final fitment depends on wheel offset, backspacing, and ride height, which we confirm with you on your engineering review call.

05 What's the typical lead time from deposit to delivery?

Lead time depends on configuration and current production slot availability. Your Rolling 40 specialist confirms a specific delivery window during your engineering review call, once your build sheet is finalized and your deposit is in. We set production expectations up front, so you will not be chasing updates after you commit.

06 Do I need a specialized shop to install this, or can my local builder handle it?

Any competent restoration or custom 4×4 shop can mount a body onto the Rolling 40 chassis. The install is mechanically simpler than a traditional frame-off restoration because there is no frame prep, no rust repair, and no mount relocation. For engine and drivetrain integration, we recommend a shop with modern EFI and Coyote or LT-swap experience. We are happy to refer builders in your region during your review call.
